Walter's House

Everyone who comes to Walter’s House is homeless. Some need rehabilitation and some just need habilitation.

Walter's House is a residential substance abuse program with a 60% success rate meaning they are free from drugs, have found employment and are placed in stable housing.

Before entering the program, most of them never had any boundaries, most have no coping skills, no life skills, no purpose. At Walter's House they find a purpose.

While in the program they must apply to a minimum number of businesses daily, live on a tight budget and comply with the rules.

After they complete residential treatment and move into the community they continue to participate in an aftercare program that lasts about 12 weeks. Completion from that is very high with maybe two or three relapsing annually.
